When most people think of graffiti they often describe it as someone (a delinquent) who goes around tagging walls, buildings, and even houses at times. But graffiti is so much more than fancy names written on a wall in a bunch of mixed colors.

Graffiti, and the artist who create them tell stories. Everyone has a different way of story telling and artist tell us theirs by writing books, creating structures, drawings, and even dancing. Music is one of the best forms of story telling mixed in with poetry.

So the next time you’re passing by some graffiti, try looking past just the words and colors. When your favorite artist comes on the radio listen deeply to the words that are being said. When you see a dancer pay close attention to the movements. We all have a story to tell, we just want people to read them.
